Destination Stays Griffintown Montreal

Stayed a week, don't have enough time to discuss how awful our stay was. Just be warned. Host Daniel was not helpful at all - I contacted him four different times and received mostly a "well, nothing I can do..." response. Dirty linen, moldy bathroom, dust everywhere. To top it off, we were put in the smallest room (#103), even though we were staying a week. Bad service overall. If you're staying a night, it's fine - just bring your own sheets and towels I guess.

If you are looking for a true five start experience, this is NOT the place to book. Though the website and emails imply as such, with even the final email asking me to post about my 5 star experience! WELL, HERE YOU GO: There is a convenience store below that I believe shares the back stairs which leads to a room packed with garbage? No entryway lighting the stairs to go up to the units (very dark at night), plug outlet covers missing (safety issue), smoke detector missing-safety again (found it in a drawer and NO battery anywhere), 2 very dim apartment lights for the evenings, gross dusty ceiling fan I would not touch, second hand bathroom door hanging by a thread and misaligned so that it bangs to open and close, bathroom sink and toilet barely drain, toilet drips after flushing, no garbage can, 1 + 1/2 rolls of toiletpaper, no kleenex, no papertowel for spills in the 'kitchen', filthy dirty kitchen appliances, visible greasy dust caked on the only air vent, filthy walls and floors. The bed was comfortable, smelled clean and appeared to be clean. It was decently quiet after 11pm, other than one 3 hour night (9pm-12am) of banging I assume was from the store downstairs, which I reached out to Dan about with no reply.

DO NOT BOOK THIS LOCATION! ITS A CON Please if you value your money please don't book here, the owner Daniel is a scumbag. He posted pictures of units in Griffintown but the apparment that you've booked itself is not even located there. It's super dirty, it's has stains on the walls, bugs coming out of the microwave, dust all around and more. The owner Daniel is a rude individual that will cuss at you when you simply asked him if the unit is not up a proper standards then what are your othet options. Promised a refund but won't answer his calls nor will call you back. Don't bother call customer service, they won't help you either, they will say it's a legal thing but yet still let this con artist have his add on hotel.com after numerous complaints. In the end of the day, we have to make peace that they are some people in this world that will deceive you and won't do the right thing. I just hope by this post it will save you to make the same mistakes as I did.
