Initial impression upon checking in: The resort's staff is very helpful so far! Overall, I had a pretty uneventful stay at Dhawa, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Don't get me wrong, the uneventful aspect was not due to the host, but rather the unaccommodating weather. It was raining the whole three days of my stay, so most my time here was spent lounging around, eating and getting myself pampered. This is not a spot you seek for excitement, but rather a perfect getaway for those look to spend money and not have to worry about anything. Regarding the room, I booked a Superior King Seaview one for the views of the sea, and it did not disappoint. The size of the room, on the other hand, is a little bit small, but not cramped, and rather well-equipped. Housekeeping also did a great job at maintaining the cleanliness. As for the food, the offerings at Nook and Azura were on the expensive side (expected for 5 stars hotels), but I would say the portions and tastiness of the food were worth the price. If you want food from elsewhere, you would have to get a taxi and travel 5 or 6 kilometers to the nearest tourist-centric restaurants (please ask the receptionists for recommendations). Amenity-wise, I think the facilities of Dhawa were good, especially the spacious pool facing the ocean. Unfortunately for me, the weather didn't permit me full utilisation of all the amenities offered. I also noticed that they have many more things to do on the weekends, like buffets and foamy pools (I guess), so plan your stay accordingly. The employees were also extremely helpful and accommodating, from the front of house to the restaurants. I also highly appreciate the free shuttle bus service provided, though make sure to book your trip in advance with the receptionists. The free stuff (tea, coffee and biscuits) at Nest was also a great touch. I also had an excellent massage at Angsana on the first floor. Lastly, there's also a small gripes I had during my stay. The lobby area was not so well arranged logistically; when guests line up and check in, others would have to squeeze their way to get to Nest.
I am here the second time for my birthday with my family. Things are nice, and suprisingly that the Front office Manager Mr. Long still remember my birthday and set me a little gift as welcome. Food is nice, especially Beer Package, me and my father in law really enjoy it with the beach front restaurant in a hot summer day. Ah a special thanks to Ms. Thu receptionist she helped me to fix my glass affter being break by my son while we were swimming. I would love to be back here for more not just for birthday occasions
Pros: • The facility is new and well-maintained. • Convenient and reliable bus service. • All rooms offer a nice view. • Plenty of activities available for kids. Cons: Staying at Dhawa turned out to be a disappointing experience. 1. There was no welcome drink upon arrival. 2. The food quality at Nook Restaurant was average. While the staff were polite, service was so slow—even when the restaurant wasn’t busy. 3. Room service was also inefficient. My room wasn’t ready until 3.30 PM, past the standard check-in time. While the hotel strictly charges for late check-out, there was no apology or compensation offered for the late check-in caused by their own poor management. 4. Because of the delay, many guests were left waiting in the lobby, which felt chaotic and disorganized. It gave the impression of a regular hotel rather than a relaxing resort. 5. Most concerning of all, I felt discriminated against in the way I was treated. The level of service I received seemed noticeably different compared to other guests. We were the last one receiving the key rooms. This was deeply disappointing and not what anyone should experience on vacation. Overall: The quality of service does not match the price. The experience lacked the warmth, hospitality, and professionalism expected from a high-end resort. Advice to Management: Please visit resorts in Phan Thiet to learn what excellent resort service truly means. There’s a lot to improve when it comes to guest experience, service efficiency, and overall value.
