Dhole's Den Bandipur

Visited 4 years ago. Visited last week. Will visit again. Breathtaking view from the rooms. Clean and well maintained property. Offers tranquility. The mornings are beautiful. The dogs are additional attraction 🙂 One suggestion: There needs to be a tea/ coffee maker in the room.

Our family of 11 had a wonderful stay at Dhole’s Den, nestled within the lush forests of Bandipur. From the moment we arrived to the end of our trip, we were well taken care of by their attentive and welcoming staff. The property offers a variety of engaging activities that kept all of us entertained throughout our stay, including farm visits, village drives, nature walks, fishing, archery, wildlife documentaries, and indoor games. They also organize campfires and wildlife safaris on request, adding to the experience. A special mention to Mr. Girish, who ensured all our needs were met with great care. He guided us on the best times for the safari, thanks to which we were lucky enough to spot two tigers, several elephants, and many other animals and birds, a truly unforgettable experience. His deep knowledge of wildlife and plant life made our morning nature walks both informative and fascinating. We were served three delicious, balanced meals each day, prepared using vegetables and fruits from their own farm, which we also had the chance to visit. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained, each offering a unique and beautiful view of the Nilgiri mountains. The entire team at Dhole’s Den went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, fun, and memorable. We would absolutely recommend this place 10/10!

A premium place. It’s a bumpy journey to reach this place, but it’s certainly remote and you’re surrounded by animal sounds and nature. The communal area is beautifully light and airy with comfortable seating, artwork and board games to play. The all-inclusive food was outstanding and varied with numerous options for vegans and vegetarians. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered several activities which we took advantage of. The 3 hour safari was good - though some get luckier than others - and we enjoyed archery in the garden and a pre-dinner bonfire. However, the trip to the farm and sunset drinks were a little disappointing. We found it hard to see the cows on the farm with ropes around their necks, restricting their mobility. And our driver took all the litter from our sunset tea and biscuits and just threw it into the long grass. Disappointing, but, India. 🤷‍♂️
