Diamond Hotel Vân Đồn

Spacious rooms. Nice service. The worst thing is their hot-cold water system: Imagine taking showers in winter & the water keeps alternating between very hot & very cold. We will never come back if they cannot fix this. Update: 3 rooms with 3 different & bad water settings: turning to cold setting lead to very hot water. Breakfast is average. Hotel buffet is mixed: seafood is reasonably fresh, all other things are below average. For example, beef is as chewy as rubber.

Mixed Experience – Some Highs, but Many Lows The location is quite poor – it’s in the middle of nowhere, though it might improve once the surrounding area is fully developed. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing across the board – whether you’re into Vietnamese, Asian, or Western cuisine, it didn’t meet expectations. On the bright side, the room and bed were very comfortable and well-maintained. However, the sound insulation was surprisingly poor, especially considering the building is relatively new. The hallway outside the room had an unpleasant glue-like smell, which wasn’t very welcoming. Be aware that the hotel offers a taxi service that charges significantly more than Grab, so it’s highly recommended to download the Grab app as soon as possible. The staff were friendly and did their best, but many seemed quite young and lacking in experience.

Rooms are ok. But there is nothing around. Restaurant in the hotel is very poor, breakfast is extremely poor the worst I have ever experienced in Vietnam.
