Beautiful hotel near the port. Very friendly staff, always attentive. Very clean, spacious and modern room. Perfect!
I had a lovely stay at Diogenis Hotel in Syros! The location is perfect—right by the port and very close to the center of Ermoupoli, making it easy to explore the town on foot. The building itself has a lot of character, with a charming neoclassical style that blends perfectly with the island’s atmosphere. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, with all the basic amenities I needed. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always available to assist with any questions or recommendations about the island. I also appreciated the quiet environment, which allowed for a relaxing night's sleep despite being so close to the port. The only small downside was the breakfast—it could have had a bit more variety—but overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for a comfortable and convenient stay in Syros!
The hotel's location is excellent, the staff are very polite and helpful, but the hotel breakfast is far below 4-star standards. The quality of the food and drinks served at breakfast is very low. The feta cheese is soft and definitely not up to Greek standards. The tomatoes and cucumbers are served mixed on a plate like a salad. The Greek yogurt is of the lowest quality, runny and tasteless. The concentrated orange juice is awful. There's only one black tea available, and there's no breakfast tea. The breakfast room is cramped with tables and only needs a fan. There's no placemat on the tables. Self-service, including cutlery, is provided on trays like in the staff cafeteria. There's not a single flower on the table, nor is there anything else. In short, the breakfast is below 3-star hotel standards. There's central air conditioning in the rooms, but the manual cooling doesn't provide enough cooling. In short, I don't think it's worth the money.
