Distinction Coachman Hotel Palmerston North

Stayed 2 nights. Location great. Restaurant prices on menu over the top. Ate up the road a little. Alot cheaper. Hairs on bed and in hand basin. They advertise sky, but we're told taken away. Average is all i can say

I've stayed several times for business trips. Each time the place seems a bit more tired, and rather opressive. It was quiet, which was good. The gas fire in the lobby near the bar was a nice area. No butter in the breakfast buffet, 2 days running. Just hot water in the coffee dispensers, so I had to ask for it to be filled with coffee. Restaurant service closed one night, but room service available, which was good and prompt. Coachman, you need to improve your game. I wouldn't choose to stay again.

A very good example of judging a book by its cover, the place looks great from the outside….. worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Rooms and the bedding left a non-impressive lasting smell in my mouth, I’m pretty sure they were washed years ago. No air conditioning in the rooms, I had to ask for a fan and had to fetch it my myself. For $180 I expected much more. I’m still not sure if the price included a free breakfast, I just wanted to get out. Come on owners, for that price you can do much better!!
