Absolutely loved my stay at the Distinction New Plymouth Hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay great. The room was functional and clean, even if it was a bit outdated - but that didn't detract from my overall experience. The hotel's central location was perfect for exploring New Plymouth. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
Comfortable room but woken up at 4.30am because of the early morning heavy traffic. Friendly staff. Restaurant closed for maintenance but only told this when booking in. However, next door there was a fantastic cafe called Oasis for breakfast. Heaps of restaurants nearby for evening meals. I would stay again but insist on a quiet room away from the main road.
Had occasion to stay here recently Would not return: The room was cold and the heating not working above 22? In winter to cold. The wall mounted hair dryer kept randomly starting during the night. TV not working. NO BAR or DINNING ROOM ON SITE the recommended cafe for charge back was not open to match hotel hours. Staff nice and helpfull Location good Hotel building not up to the standard expected of the tariff. Ended up moving hotels to complete the stay.
