We stayed on the Oceans side, the rooms are recently renovated and nice. We had great service from mostly everyone we ran into, especially Edrick and the bell captain Edy. Edy truly understands hospitality and taking care of your customers. He was always available when we needed him. The beach is beautiful, but other than that, the location is pretty sparse. So if you don't plan on staying at the resort all day, prepare to need a taxi. Easy to get one outside. The food was alright. I enjoyed my breakfast at pure and my snacks at Mix. I wasn't a fan of the taco place and the server we had kept mixing up our order and check. Overall I'd return to Divi though, solely for the beach and people. Oh and we had a ocean view room but we were on the 1st floor so it was quite obstructed, so I recommend going higher up to avoid a blocked view because that kind of ruined our experience. There are elevators!
Visited here on a cruise. Super easy to get a taxi right to the resort from the port, $5 per person. Once we got there, it was quick and easy to get chairs and umbrellas set up by a very helpful attendant, $5 for umbrella, $5 per chair. The beach was quiet and chill, not crowded at all. Mix of people staying at the resort and cruise passengers. We felt extremely welcome by all employees, despite only going to the beach for the day and not staying at the hotel. A few vendors walking around offering goods and services; we did not feel pressured to buy anything. There were a few restaurants, coffee shops, and bars, but we didn’t go in. The water was calm and clean. The sand was wonderful and clean as well. Fantastic views. Will definitely be going back, both on cruise stops and possibly to stay at the hotel. Highly recommend.
The resort location is amazing. The beach is calm and the sand is nice. It’s not white sand but it is soft. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to all our needs. A special shout out to Leanne (big yellow glasses can’t miss her) at Slice pizza spot. She is one of the most genuine people we’ve come across vacationing. Best meal is going to the Shack - AMAZING baha and beef tacos.
