I’m Agoda website it is mentioned that the last check-in was until 10:30 p.m., so when I arrived at 9:30 p.m., I expected to be able to get in. However, after pressing the doorbell, no one came to let me in, so I had to call or text the owner. He informed me that he had already left but would contact someone else in charge to assist me. After an hour of waiting outside on the street, someone finally came to the main door of the building. While I was waiting, I felt scared because a drunk man approached me, aggressively begging for money. When I spoke to the person in charge (whatsapp), he told me there had been an error in the pricing online, and they couldn’t let me in unless I paid an additional 60 euros. I refused because I had already paid online, didn’t know where else to stay, and couldn’t be sure how long it would take for a refund to process if I needed to book another place that night. With no other option, I paid the extra 60 euros to avoid being stranded. This situation felt like a scam. It should be the host’s responsibility to ensure the pricing is correct online, rather than shifting this burden onto guests.
We entered the accommodation alone and didn't meet anyone the whole time. Unfortunately, upon our arrival, we saw that the room was not suitable, and we informed the host by email. We have not received an answer to this since then. The room was shabby and run down. The ceiling and the bathroom are moldy, the hand shower was missing. The curtain was missing and the room was completely visible from the surrounding windows. There was a small, old refrigerator, but it did not cool. For 4 days there was no change of towels and no cleaning. The only positive was the location of the accommodation. I do not recommend it to anyone!
Starting from our arrival, we had issues accessing the property. After an hour of ringing the door bell and calling the number given to us we finally reached someone, who said check in had closed at 4pm but we had been there since 3:30. They gave us the codes to enter. We were delighted to find a bar fridge and an air-conditioner, however these were both ornamental, the curtains where an option we must of forgot to ask for, and light from the building next door kept us up. The spare pillows didn't have covers and were the yellowest i have ever seen. There was no wifi and they refused to answer our questions about it. They said that linens and towels get changed after 3 days but after 5 we were still using the same ones. There was no room service or anyone at the front desk. Their "claim to fame" was a 4 start review from 2013 from trip advisor, this must have beem from them. Dont stay at this accommodation.
