Doberai Private Island

Our stay here was absolutely magical from start to finish. Everything was perfectly organized, from airport pickup to drop-off. The hotel feels like paradise – intimate, beautifully arranged, and with a wonderful communal dining experience where guests share one big table. The staff made the stay unforgettable: always smiling, caring, and ready to help. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the chefs were fantastic. A special mention to the diving team – Jonathan, Johnny, Cliff, Edwin, the boat drivers – who made our dives and snorkeling trips unforgettable, bringing us to breathtaking Raja Ampat sites with great energy and fun. If I could suggest one small improvement, it would be to add a bigger chilling or beach area for relaxing and socializing. Overall, a dream stay we’ll never forget. Christelle

Our stay at Ketembe Private Island was nothing short of perfect and magical. The facilities were excellent, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed to blend comfort with the island’s natural charm. But the true cherry on the cake was the incredible staff. From the first to the very last day, they were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel at home in paradise. A very special thank you goes to the diving team — Jonathan, Edwin, Johny, Cliff, and the rest of the crew for their exceptional professionalism and passion. They provided top-quality diving classes and took us on unforgettable excursions to some of the most breathtaking dive sites we’ve ever seen. We left Ketembe Private Island with our hearts full and already dreaming of coming back.

Outstanding food and fantastic island. I am Italian and a bit fussy with food… this place is one step above all the other homestays for food. The staff was great and made us feel like a family… we loved the area, it’s very close to Friwen wall. Corals and fishes are outstanding there and visible when snorkeling. The overwater deluxe bungalow was very cool and spacious, lovely terrace for sunbathing and jumping in the water. Be aware that it can get very humid at night (like in any other overwater bungalow)… I think that is part of the experience!
