I had a wonderful stay at DO & CO Hotel. The location is perfect — right in the heart of the city with everything within walking distance. The rooms are clean, modern, and beautifully designed, with a great view. But what really made my stay special was the reception team, especially Nico. He was incredibly helpful, kind, and always greeted us with a smile. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. Thank you, Nico, for your hospitality — you truly made a difference! Highly recommended, and I would definitely stay here again.
I wanted to stay here for a long time and did so in July for my last visit to Vienna. But had expected a more luxurious hotel - the reception is on the 6th floor and there are always tourist visiting the bar for its views. Quite crowded. The staff is not really friendly- even with the hotel guests they are really dry - maybe is that the special local character. Rooms are nice - spacious and well decorated - but the alley and the dark doors outside make the hotel a little less appealing.
Terrible Experience – Unsafe Room, Unhelpful Staff, and No Support After Injury I had a multiple-day reservation at this hotel, hoping to enjoy my vacation in Vienna. Unfortunately, it turned into a very distressing experience. Upon arrival, there was no one at the front desk, and I had to wait over 30 minutes just to check in. When I finally received my room key, it didn’t work, and I had to return to the front desk to resolve the issue. Once I was able to enter the room, I found it poorly lit and dangerously designed. There was a hidden staircase close to the entrance, which I could not see due to the darkness and slippery floor. I fell down the stairs and injured my foot (I have medical documentation and images of the injury). When I reported the incident and requested to cancel the rest of my stay, the hotel staff refused. They were dismissive, raised their voices at me, and denied assistance with transportation to the hospital. To make matters worse, they refused to issue a receipt when I tried to check out. As a foreign visitor to Austria, this situation has been extremely difficult and stressful. I am currently receiving treatment in a hospital and considering legal action due to the hotel’s negligence and refusal to provide even basic support. Please consider staying elsewhere. There are many hotels in the area, and avoiding this one could save you from a similar ordeal.
