Dogana Resort

very nice hotel and well renovated , location is very good for the village/town itself but its not a pretty village to stay in and not much to see

The hotel is really beautiful and quiet. The sea view from the balcony (junior suite) is gorgeous. The lady at reception was kind, professional and helpful. The restaurant terrasse is air-conditioned. Two things that need to be improved: 1. breakfast (if you have special diet requirements: no choice of milk, no choice of bread; no choice of sides with the eggs: no bacon, no sausages, etc. If you want salmon, it's 10 extra euros, cheese: 12 euros, salami: 12 euros. 2. Valet parking service: we asked our car to be ready for 8.00 am, it arrived at 8.20.

We made a last-minute reservation at Dogana Resort, but soon realized we needed to change our plans and stay an extra night. Within 8 minutes of booking, we contacted the hotel to either modify or cancel the reservation — but to our shock, the manager refused and charged us nearly €500 for one night in two rooms. The response we got was robotic and cold, with the manager repeating policy lines like a machine: “You must cancel 24 hours in advance.” This wasn’t just unhelpful — it was completely inhumane, especially considering the tiny window of time (just 8 minutes!) since our reservation. We understand hotels have policies, but this was a clear case where flexibility and basic human decency were completely absent. This kind of rigid, heartless management is a huge red flag for any traveler. Be careful with this hotel. There is ZERO understanding, terrible customer service, and an attitude that clearly puts profits over people. 👎💩
