Dolan's Inn & Suites

We stayed two nights at Dolan's Inn, the room was clean, bright and newly renovated. Loved having an on-suite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. It was a relaxing stay, great hospitality and terrific breakfast food. Location is perfect for checking out the market, and for any EV car owners, there is a level two charging station at the public library, a 10 min walk away. Would definitely stay again.

I recently spent 6 nights at the Revere Executive Apartments in Pictou Nova Scotia during a very trying time in our family. Let me start by saying that Shelby was amazing throughout, working with my brother and I to make our stay as stress free as possible. She accommodated us on a day's notice and was able to offer us the type of lodging that best suited our requirements. The apartment itself met our needs in every single category; two bedrooms, quiet, comfortable large beds, dressers, closet space, top of the line washer/dryer combo, fast WIFI, a well appointed kitchen with all necessary utensils, dishwasher, full size fridge and oven, kettle, coffee maker, comfortable sofa & chair, and a much needed hot shower and beautiful bathroom. I assume the TV was top notch as well although we didn't even turn it on. The location is right at the heart of Pictou, within easy walking distance of everything you need, and a bonus is that the apartments have a stunning view looking out over the water. I know that I will likely need to be back in Pictou in the near future and I will definitely be calling Shelby to arrange for my accommodation needs. One caution, the stairs to the upper apartments are steep, but that is a small price to pay for the view. Many people are skeptical of online reviews, don't be of this one. I'm proud to put my name to it.

This is a fantastic place with truly great potential. It just needs some thoughtful upkeep and planning. It's odd to have a small sink area in the room but no coffee/tea maker for it, only a microwave. But a shared coffee maker and tea kettle and microwave is placed in the vestibule between two rooms. Not only noisy for those occupants but partially blocking the entry to get suitcases in and out! Bathroom door is warped so we had to pinch a towel in the frame to keep it closed. Big mold problem in the bathtub area needs to be addressed. This is actually the first place i have ever been at where the guests had to go out and buy thier own Kleenex boxes. Air conditioner in window uses saran wrap (broken) to try and keep water and wind out? Shared deck is nice, needs a couple chairs to enjoy though. It would not take much to move this place to a higher ranking, just some basic low cost upkeep.
