Doliva Estate

We stayed at Doliva Estate for 1 week with friends and enjoyed everything from the beautiful house, to the stunning pool and garden, as well as the surroundings. The house is great for groups of friends or larger families. I will definitely recommend it to colleagues and friends! We also asked for breakfast and it was fantastic every morning!

Disappointment. The Villa is advertised as having 7 bedrooms. It actually has 6 bedrooms and 1 open space with a bed and a fan which offers no privacy. We were asked to pay cash (2600.- euro) - outside of the site we rented it from probably to avoid taxes - for the kids the same price as for adults ( 2 x 9-year-old and 1 x 2 years old). After we had a little talk to the host, they dropped the requirements of payment. 2 bedrooms have no air conditioning. This is also one thing that it’s not being told although in the description it’s written “air conditioned Villa”. The Villa it’s an older building. The faucets are the old type with cold and hot water separate and not the “one handle” model. The showers don’t work properly. The furniture is very old. Some mirrors in the bathroom and the holders under the mirror are crooked. Both kitchen are old and partially broken. The pool can hardly be used. We could only have a short swim in it and we had to immediately take a shower after getting out. Probably because of the chemicals or whatever they are using to clean it, our skin and eyes were burning. We never had such a discomfort in any other villas or pools we’ve been before. There are a few video surveillance cameras across the property. One of them is looking straight to the pool. Even though we asked the host to turn them off we were told that for security reasons they will not turn them off. That offers you no privacy…. especially at the pool. Otherwise, for a big group, it’s a good place to stay but it’s definitely overpriced. The owners should invest to bring it at least to the advertised level. For the fact that the villa is advertised one way but the reality is different and for trying to squeeze a lot of money from us, I can only give 1 * (one star).

No air con everywhere. Only in 4 rooms. And there are not 7 bedrooms but 6 and an open space with a bed. The pool can’t be used due to the chemicals used for cleaning. The video surveillance was always on and one camera points directly towards the pool. No privacy
