⸻ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We had a fantastic experience from the moment we arrived! The welcome service was warm and professional, and we immediately felt relaxed and well taken care of. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The gastronomic restaurant was a real highlight. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented — a true culinary experience. A special mention to the sommelier, who was absolutely excellent — knowledgeable, passionate, and gave perfect wine pairings that elevated the entire meal. The spa and massage services were top-notch — calm, clean, and incredibly relaxing. We left feeling refreshed and recharged. Overall, this place exceeded all expectations. Outstanding service, amazing food and wine, and a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. We would love to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and high-quality stay.
The place is beautiful. However it’s at least 1 -3 hours from the towns or Paris which makes it a nightmare to get a ride to the Chateau from the airport. The staff and service is impeccable.
My second stay at this beautiful property, and with thoughts of my previous stay, I was excited about re visiting en route home. Things have changed in the last 14 years, decor updated and a move away from what I recall as a traditional cosy feel to a more modern feel. The food lacked the quality and extensive attention to detail I recall on our previous stay while the meal was nice it was not “fantastic” or memorable which is a shame as the price would give the expectation of excellence. Service was hit and miss and at times cold, that could be our issue due to our limited French. The bed room was nicely appointed and of generous proportions, the bathroom felt a little dated both in decor and fittings ( with a terrible sewer smell from the shower drain ). All in all the value of the stay was poor and has left me feeling sadly underwhelmed. The domaine was busy so there is obviously a demand for the offer presented, however for me there are other options presenting better value despite the great location if travelling. When charging what is asked for the room and the food there is understandably an expectation associated to that, which as I hope I have politely explained was not met. I feel a little sad writing this as our previous stay was memorable for the right reasons, this memorable for the wrong reasons.
