Domaine de Beaupré The Originals Relais

Amazing “art gallery” hotel. Romantic and quiet. In a heat wave, it was still cool inside. We had a wonderful balcony even with the smaller room. Old building made it charming. Chateau with a lot of history.

we were overal very satistied and would love to stay at this hotel again. The interior of the castle is beautiful and full of character. However, the exterior and the garden are not very well maintained (which is understandable, as upkeep must be expensive). If you check in late at night, you'll need to use a code to open the entrance and find your room in the dark, turning on lights along the way. It can be a bit confusing in the dark, so I would recommend arriving earlier if possible. Having tea in the sunroom was a lovely experience. However, the decoration felt a bit cluttered, like in a Vietnamese restaurant, which slightly detracted from the overall atmosphere. A simpler, more refined decor would enhance the charm of the space. Our room was less than €150, so it was small, but if you pay more you would get a bigger room. All in all, it was a great value and a lovely stay.

The hotel did not live up to its photos and was a disappointing experience overall. The breakfast was of very low quality, extremely limited, and there were no vegetables served at all. If you're vegetarian or have vegetables as a part of your diet, I would not recommend staying here. Additionally, the staff lacked hospitality, and the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. This was far from the experience I had hoped for based on the photos and description provided.
