We held our civil wedding lunch on the terrace of Domaine de Châteauvieux, with around thirty guests, overlooking a breathtaking view. The setting was truly exceptional — elegant, serene, and full of charm. It was the perfect place for an intimate and unforgettable celebration. The cuisine fully lived up to the reputation of the establishment: refined, flavorful, with generous and well-balanced plates. Our guests were all thoroughly impressed. That said, the service did not always meet the standards expected of such a renowned venue. Several guests mentioned a lack of attentiveness, and we ourselves experienced some difficulty during the planning phase, with communication not always smooth and a limited degree of flexibility. Nonetheless, this remains a truly special place, and we will keep beautiful memories of that day. With a few improvements on the service side, the experience could easily become flawless.
My fiancé and I stayed here on our last night in Switzerland. It was the PERFECT way to end off 14 days of traveling. Instead of staying at your typically hectic/loud hotel near the airport, we insteae stayed here in the relaxing and serene countryside, enjoying the beautiful view of their vineyards and sunset (yet was still only 5-6 miles away from the airport). Not to mention, it was also an easy Uber to the airport at 4:20am for our 7am flight. Dinner was a fantastic experience! The service was top notch. The food was really great -- better than several other 2-star Michelin restuarants that I've dined at within the past 2 years. Sincere thanks to both the staff and Chef! 👨🍳 (My only critique is that the dining room is entirely too bright. The ambiance is severely hindered by the brightness of the lights. It's almost as if they used their lunchtime light settings for dinner. This would be an easy fix to just dim them by 30%+).
A culinary masterpiece in a stunning setting. Every dish was perfectly balanced, showcasing true gastronomic artistry. The wine pairings were on point, and the service was impeccable. Chef Philippe Chevrier is a genius. Ideal for a celebration or romantic evening.
