Domaine de Divonne

I like the hotel, the art deco style is great. It’s a 1930s hotel. The fact that the room and hotel are a bit dated is fitting with the style of the hotel so is fine. I would say it’s a little expensive though considering the lack of a recent update. The aircon was noisy though didn’t bother us. The room was very spacious. I was travelling with my 17 year old daughter and booked the room with bed and breakfast but only my breakfast was included, additional €22 for my daughter. The breakfast was good. The location is excellent for exploring Geneva by car and we also drove to Lake Annecy from here. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces, no trouble finding a space, so perfect stop-off on a road trip.

Feedback in 2024: I'd say that the hotel is gorgeous and service is absolutely outstanding. Fully recommended. P.S. Breakfast is tasty, parking is free of charge. Update in 2025: We returned to the hotel this year because we enjoyed our stay last year. However, our experience is completely different this time – and now we understand the negative reviews. 1) We booked a comfort room (same as last year, for 3 nights), but were given one without a balcony, despite the booking photos clearly showing one. 2) No proper Wi-Fi: There is no Wi-Fi in the room, the only signal reaches the bathroom. 3) The room looks shabby, with visible dirt or mold in the bathroom. It’s disappointing. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this hotel to others.

3 hours of leaf blowing and it is still going on ! With a petroleum blower ?! Woke up at 8:30 almost every morning with this! How is this possible ? What kind of hotel does this to its guests and environment? What idea of luxury and rest do you have ?
