OK for 1-night stay during road trip. The ugliest building I have ever seen in my life. It actually looks like a factory from the outside. We wonder why such a monstrosity was ever built in the middle of nowhere in France. This could easily be concealed with vines on the exterior walls. ROOMS -Possibility to request connecting rooms -TV is on the side, not facing the bed -Balconies: dirty (spider webs) and infested with bird nests. Birds are coming and going non-stop to the balconies. The hotel claims that since the swallows are a protected species since Covid, they conveniently are not able to remove the nests... Unfortunately, this makes the balconies unusable. -Bathrooms: awfully outdated. No tissue box. -Some rooms have old carpet, others wood floor: ask for room with wood floor. -Impossibility to adjust the room temperature. There were no instructions in the room on how to use the heat or Air Conditioning. RESTAURANT On the lobby floor, nice view on the golf course, but if you sit by the window, it is literally freezing in the evening. Tables with tablecloths. Great service. BREAKFAST On the 6th floor, panoramic view on the golf course. Tables with tablecloths. Bring sunglasses if you sit by the window. PARKING Free and convenient AROUND Various shops nearby
Absolutely horrible service, we arrived at noon, we’ve been told the spa is not available until 3 pm when our room is ready. The location is in the middle of nowhere, it’s absolutely ridiculous to have rules like this. We had to wait for hours and have nothing to do, since the bistro is also not serving, while the spa is widely available with not so many guests. The facilities are outdated and the driving range is in poor condition. The only thing that still reflects the hotel’s former glory is the attitude and unserviceable mind of the staff
WORST hotel reception staff in FRANCE!! Read the other reviews about staff and treatment, if you complain this hotel threatens you with the police! Poor management, read the response to this review and the many many poor reviews of this hotel The worst hotel you could find! AVOID! this truly is a dated strange hotel. the reception staff are just plain awful and disinterested, with no customer service skills or training. You can tell the staff are just local people with no desire to have career in hospitality or customer service just a job for them! The rooms are dated and bathrooms are from the 70's. The beds are very well worn and carpet stained from the awful bags carpet in reception that is just filthy all the way to the rooms. the bath towels are equally worn and stiff to the touch. The fabric of the building is dirty and the windows and sliding doors are very outdated and don't function properly. The only reason I think this hotel exists is lack of choice in the area! the food is an overproduced, unbalanced, and over complicated by a chef who has ideas of grandure rather than working with local ingredients offering a quality meal. The carpark surface is just rough stones and not finished, and the grounds are not well kept. On a positive note the housekeeping try their best but they are fighting a loosing battle with the ground in dirt! Avoid at all cost
