Here in early to mid October. We got a room with two double beds. Very comfortable and a great price. Wifi in our room was great, good enough to stream. Beautiful environment with lovely fall color. Very quiet. I booked here hoping to see stars and auroras. Mother nature had other plans. But I would come back. There is a portable cook top and skillets to cook with, salt and pepper. The only complaint I would have is the towels are rough and small. Smoke detector should be checked. One of the bedside lamps is broken and I did not get the email with instructions to get in until after arrival, but the lady that answered came and met us and let us in fairly quickly. A rudimentary ability to speak some French is useful as she spoke very little English. There is no actual checking in location. Overall very satisfied.
Great spot for access to observatory lab at mount lac megantic. 3 bedroom suite was spacious and clean. All you need to do basic cooking was available. Pool was nice a short walk away. Cell service is poor in the area but local wifi was very strong. We’d definitely come back.
Basement in the cost of a chalet ! He fooled me. I paid ($153 ($129 + tax) for a “Suite” instead of another suite which was only $10 more expensive. So I thought how much would it differ? Not much. But only when I checked in to know that my “suite” was actually a basement (albeit with kitchenette) of much bigger house above me. See picture know the difference. The red highlighted is the actual room I was in, With that tiny window. Other pictures show the terrible view of the ground from the 2 basement windows. So the pictures on the website will be this awesome big house but dont fall for it. I did unfortunately. Because it was a basement, there was hardly any light even during the day. To add insult to injury, there weren’t enough lights inside (see pictures where only 1 bulb was installed where 3 holders in the lamp were available). 2 lamps in the living room. I appreciate the darkness of mont megantic but that’s at night. I don’t want it to be dark even during the day. That’s my worse $10 save of my life.
