The good parts of Leidinger remain good: excellent location, tasty breakfast. I have stayed here multiple times, but my last visit showed an appreciable decline in the level of service. I can understand less frequent room cleaning, but there were five things that made this stay worse than my previous, pleasant ones: 1. Wifi only worked in half of the room, which caused clients to frequently disconnect. 2. Difficult to control temperature in room. There was a modern window in front of a legacy window. 3. Nobody was providing service to the courtyard in the evening (I went there to work because the wifi didn't work in the room). I grabbed something to drink, but then was curtly told that it's not allowed. I had to order from the bar. Now, I understand the rule, but if this is the rule, A) it should be posted B) if you're sitting in the courtyard for an hour, you should be offered a drink. I'm used to this arrangement at many hotels, but it's not okay to be ignored and then yelled at. This is a big contrast to my first visit years ago, where I was served a lovely Erdinger by very pleasant staff (the hotel now serves "Bitt", which I think is also a step down). That transcendent experience led me to come back several times. 4. After checking out, hotel demanded more money from me after I asked *twice* if it was correct (they didn't charge for some breakfasts). They don't provide an online payment form and want me to e-mail them a credit card number or call them. Of course, I'm now traveling internationally, and this is a big annoyance / distraction. 5. The juice machine only worked 2/4 days I was there.
This is a medium class hotel. I found it a bit pricy for what you get, especially rooms so much need a makeover and need to get into the new century. Breakfast is good.
The room is very hot, we checked in around 07:00 pm and the reception employee gave us extra cards to put in the slot and told us that the A/C is working but it needs few hours to cool the room. We went to town and just came back after few hours, and the room is extremely hot. We went to reception and they just told us that there is a problem with the A/C and they brought someone to fix it but it’s not fixed. on the top of that the same reception guy asked my wife to leave the reception area to outside the hotel because my daughter voice is too loud for him. Unfortunately this hotel rating on booking is very high, and in my humble opinion they are the worst by far comparing to all the hotels I visited in Europe for the last 10 years. If you want to stay here make sure that you bring an extra fan with you and to leave your children in home.
