Domaine Les Deux Roches

We (couple) stayed for 5 days in this delightful place (cottage Violette with private sauna) and fully enjoyed it. The lovely hostess, Christèle, made us feel welcome and has created a little paradise with orange- and lemon trees in the garden surrounding the swimming pool and deckchairs. The cottage is clean and fully equiped. Getting around in this area (and accessing the domain) requires walking up/down some seriously steep streets and paths. Staying here in April does not guarantee sun and warm days but the wood stove kept our house cosy and warm. The area is beautiful, with medieval villages and small cities glued against the mountains. A paradise for hikers, but also for anyone who likes good food or enjoying a glass of wine/beer on the terrace. Recommended!

We stayed three nights in this beautiful corner of paradise that we never wanted to leave. the owners are delightful people, attentive to detail but also very discreet. Christèle suggested some places to visit in the area and reserved a table for us in a very suggestive restaurant with a terrace. the breakfasts that she delivered to us in the morning in a basket that was waiting for us when we woke up in front of the house were the best we could wish for, thanks to a breathtaking view. our apartment was wonderful with incredible attention to detail. the private jacuzzi on the terrace, the sunbeds overlooking the river, the table facing the valley for our breakfasts and dinners will be a memory that we will carry with us forever. this place definitely enters the list of what we call our soul places, places that help us overcome the difficulties and pains of our life... here we found the peace and serenity that we desperately need. There are an incredible amount of activities to do and enchanting places to visit, hilltop villages to explore, pleasant markets to wander around but coming back and enjoying the peace of this place is definitely what we appreciated the most. We can't wait to come back...

We had a wonderful stay at this little piece of paradise. Christele and Philippe go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay! We have been traveling through France for several weeks and this has been our favorite spot! We loved their pup Rommy who was always there to greet us after a day of touring.
