Domaine Residentiel De Plein Air Le Castellas

This was our first Eurocamp holiday and it was a pleasant surprise. The bungalows were spotlessly clean and well kept they were well equipped with everything you need. The only thing it didn't have which was an oven, which seemed a little odd to us. However, you soon adapt. The park is lovely with lots to do. It is a huge sight though and we were up the very far end. Our location was very quiet but it would of benefitted with a shop or facilities up this end too as it was about a 20minute walk to the shop. The park has private access to the beach which has lovely golden sand. You will need a car to visit anywhere outside of the camp but if you are happy to stay on site there is everything you need at reasonable prices. Overall we were very impressed with the park and would be happy to return.

Really good camping. The accommodations are nice and there are a lot of installations : swimming pools, paddle court, beach volley ... The staff is lovely and gives its all so you spend a wonderful time

The camp itself is good, with massive swimming pool and good animation team to entertain kids and the entire family. However, when we arrived, our experience wasn't pleasant. Check in, the staff seemed to be in a hurry and didn't take time to explain details. Our mobil home was located about 2 kms away from the check in reception. They have an electric powered cart that serves every 15 minutes from designated stops and goes around in the park. Since we don't have a car, we rely so much on this. We went to the grocery on our first day to buy our basic stuff that we will need for our stay, but the staff driving the cart told us that groceries are not allowed in his cart. We were left there in front of the swimming pool stop unserved. He let all the other people behind us get in to the cart and left us there wondering what to do. Our mobil home is 2 kms away, so maybe he expect us to just walk our way under the burning sun. There was no other means of transport inside the camp. This experience had given us negative feeling towards using this cart free service within the camp.Since we don't speak so much French, we didn't know what to do. Luckily, there was this very nice staff who was working at the entrance of the pool at that time who tried his best to communicate with us. We used google translate and he said to us that we cannot be refused to use the cart even if we have groceries. Also he mentioned that maybe the driver was tired because of the hot weather. This staff kept on checking on us even the following day at the pool area, he is the nicest. Going back, the next cart came, who was being driven by a different person, pleasantly allowed us to get in the cart with our groceries. So if you have no car, be prepared to deal with this, and weather-dependent services. The animation team are superb, they are all friendly and really good on making the kids and entire family happy. The staff at the snack bar fast food, they are best, friendly and really good. The two ladies working at the till in Spar, they are the sweetest and they are really nice. If you want to visit the beautiful port city of Sete, or Marseilan port and you have no car, you can easily take bus 9 just outside the camp near the swimming pool. The beach here is amazing. 3-star because of the unpleasant experience caused by some staff. Most of the staff are fantastic and great. m We left 2 days early as planned in the end. Overall experience was ok.
