Top!
Dated rooms, A/C missing, not heated and quite small outside pool (veeery cold). Nice spa and hot tub however those won’t make it for the bad room comfort.
The hotel is generally OK, but not worthy of a 4* rating. We stayed at this hotel for 4 days. The wellness area (2 whirlpools, 2 pools, sauna) is generally perfectly fine and reasonably well-maintained. Unfortunately, the hotel's downside is that it's already very run-down (and in need of renovation) and has only been poorly repaired. It would probably take a few hundred thousand euros to classify this hotel as an absolute gem in Brixen. The location and the existing wellness area are in keeping with a 4* rating. Our room was a suite, which was probably renovated in recent years and would have been excellent, if not for the additional issue of cleanliness. We had a dead beetle in the bathroom for 4 days. The cleanliness throughout the hotel is also not really good. Clumps of dust and dirt in various areas for days on end don't exactly indicate cleanliness. We also booked half-board (with dinner): The food and the selection of dishes were generally okay, but not outstanding. The chef repeatedly makes massive "blunders" with various dishes. While this approach would be absolutely reasonable, it's not worthy of a 4* rating. In summary: if you invest a few hundred thousand euros, massively improve the quality of service, and also place value on cleanliness, this hotel would be worthy of a 4* rating, as the location in Brixen is ideal as a starting point for various activities, and the wellness area invites you to "chill out." PS1: Unfortunately, it also seems as if the presumed owners are relatively indifferent to the extent of the "neglected" interior and exterior areas. It appears unkempt in places and, as mentioned, in need of renovation. If this is remedied, it will likely become a top hotel in Brixen; currently, it's only below average for the 4* category. PS2: Improve the quality of the cuisine and service so that fewer "blunders" occur. Unfortunately, it's currently a shame for this hotel that the above-mentioned points are only partially achieved. The management should seriously rethink their approach to their potential "pearl in Brixen," otherwise I'm afraid I'm "black" about this hotel; others will surpass it in terms of quality.
