Domus Antica Aosta

Domus Antica impressed us with its unique hospitality. The beautiful, ancient setting felt like visiting family. We were delighted to find the mint fridge stocked with snacks, fruit, and champagne—all included in the room price! A fresh cake and a bowl of fruit awaited us upon arrival, adding to the warm welcome. Our stay was truly memorable, and we highly recommend this charming place!

There is only one word to describe this accommodation: Maddalena. Maddalena is the hostess, the owner, and the force behind this delightful five-room accommodation. She will welcome you with a warmth that is hard to match. We thought the first thing we were expected to do was handle our passports and credit card. Wrong! The first thing Maddalena wanted to do was shake hands, welcome us into her world and share with us the dozens of thoughtful things she leaves in each room for her guests — chocolates, a slime of homemade pie, goodies in the refrigerator, and a basket of fresh fruit from her garden. Maddalena is a jewel and so is her BnB.

Domus Antica Aosta and Maddalena are the best! The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and clean and Maddalena goes out of her way to make you feel at home. The fridge is filled up with yogurt, fruit, homemade cake, and other goodies. The building is right on one of the main walking streets but still very quiet. I loved being able to get everywhere in town within a few minutes and then return to the peace and safety of my room (which also had a balcony). I stayed here before and after a hiking trip in the Alps and left my extra bag with Maddalena in between. It was comforting to know that I didn't have to worry about my things while I was gone. My second stay here was even better than the first because it felt like coming home. Maddalena is an incredible host and human being. Highly recommend!
