Rooms are small but convenient and very clean. The location is perfect. You’re close to everything, but once you enter the property, you arrive in an oasis of peace and calmness. The hostess is very friendly and helpful in any way possible. Would most certainly recommend this B&B.

Wonderful hostess, near everything, really clean, good variety breakfast, helpful in every way and anyway ( I was going early in the morning and said I won't be getting anything for breakfast the morning before I'm going and they prepared a breakfast basket Amazing!!) I'd 100% go here again visiting Rome truly wonderful people.

Please avoid this property if possible, especially if you are an international traveller, looking to make the most of your trip in Italy. The place is not as advertised and is an utter waste of money. If I could give it a 0 star, I definitely would. Never before have I left such a scathing review - but the owner (Stephano's) attitude, general demeanour and absolutely unpleasantness towards my partner leaves me no choice. Room: Like most small hotels/AirBnbs in central locations in large metros, Domus Luliae provided us a small room, with a window overlooking another building within the complex. The bathroom unfortunately was even smaller than one could imagine - smaller than that in a cruise ship. If you are even close to 5'10 in height, it would be nearly impossible for you to shower here. While showering, the water leaked out into the rest of the bathroom and the whole room smelt of humidity. The window was also broken and the bathroom door squeaked enough to wake another up when opening it at night. My partner highlighted the above to Stephano, sighting that the room was not as advertised and there were multiple maintenance issues with it. She asked for a refund so we could check out a day earlier and find a place more suitable to our needs. Stephano came in absolutely livid, asked us to leave the property because we were 'just making excuses because we wanted to check out early.' (Why would anyone on a holiday in a novel country want to book a last minute hotel?!) He accused my partner of being a racist (we ourselves are immigrants in another country!). When she told him that we would be leaving immediately, his response was "I am glad you are leaving. I have many good reviews and I don't need guests like you here." Stephano was derogatory to the point that my partner was literally crying and wanted to just head back home to the US. His attitude was appalling. Properties can have maintenance issues and most owners sort them out or change the room they are giving out to the guests. Stephano did none of the above, heck, he didn't event apologise in any way. We felt so unsafe and unpleasant that we checked out a day early and also paid an extra 50 Euros for a 'lost key' which had never been given to us to immediately get away from this man. To anyone who is considering this property because of its value, price, or location - it is not worth it and it is not as advertised. Italians are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond in terms of hospitality - this is definitely as far as possible from it.
