Domus Maria with swimming pool

My wife and I had a wonderful time in the large house, which is about 360 square meters in size and has a garden of approximately 1400 square meters. It was very comfortable for the two of us and also ideal for a family of 10-12 people. The house is officially rated 3 stars, but it felt almost like 4 stars, with the pool, barbecue area, and fast, free Wi-Fi – which is quite rare in this region. The location is simply fantastic: just 500 meters from the sea and many restaurants nearby, from pizzerias to Michelin-starred restaurants, so we ate well every day. The airport is only 14 km away, a national park is about 8 km away, and the ancient arena, similar to the Colosseum, is about 8-10 km away. Ideal for excursions, we were able to combine both nature and culture. The owner lives directly on the property and was very nice and helpful, always friendly. Upon arrival, we were also informed that light music or entertainment was permitted after quiet time, which we did. The value for money is really good, especially for couples like us who want to relax and explore the surrounding area. We definitely recommend it!

The upper floor was nice, the lower one was showing its age, and one bedroom smelled musty. The pool can only be used by three people at a time; otherwise, you have to pay an additional cleaning fee (the house sleeps 11). We were told upon arrival that it was fine to listen to music for longer periods, and the owner (who lives on the property) didn't complain about it during our stay either. Now, afterward, we were accused of disturbing the peace. The kitchens were well-equipped; you just have to bring your own dishwasher tabs.

The owner lives in the same building. There are at least 4 doors in the stairwell with "privat" signs on them. The owner and few family members i guess? Have also been around everyday! The fact that this information was nowhere to be found in the air bnb add it felt like lack of privacy! When we arrived, we had to pay 300 euros in cash "as a deposit". This information has also not been found in any part of the Air BnB add. The 1st floor flat smelled like a mix of mold and dead grandma! The double bed sleeping room smelled so moldy, that me and my partner had to move to the flat upstairs after 1 night! This is unacceptable for a more than 3000 euros per week accommodation. Some of the pool chairs were new, some were quite old. Guess what happened? One of our friends wanted to lay down (first time the chair was ever used since we arrived!) and it fell apart! Of course the owner charged us 80 (!) Euros for the chair , and tried to convince us 'that the chair has been new' by sending a receipt that could be literally from any other chair. Also there are rules like "not more than 2 people in the pool, otherwise we have to charge you an extra pool cleaning". The house is for 11 people! ------------------------------ The owner is also superfast in replying to reviews. But don't you dare writing a bad review. Gaslighting and lies incoming.
