Donatela Resort and Sanctuary

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Donatela Resort and Sanctuary. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and exceptional service. The villa was stunning—spacious, impeccably clean, and surrounded by lush, peaceful gardens that made the entire stay feel like a private escape into nature. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we're comfortable and well taken care of. I especially appreciated their attentiveness and genuine friendliness throughout our stay. Dining at the resort was also a highlight—delicious meals made with fresh ingredients, all enjoyed in a beautiful setting. And the sunsets—absolutely perfect. Watching the sky transform with vibrant colors in such a tranquil environment was a breathtaking experience I won’t forget. One small downside was the bumpy road leading to the property, which can be a bit of a challenge, especially for first-time visitors. However, the resort thoughtfully provides a free shuttle service, which made getting in and out much more convenient and stress-free. We left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already dreaming of my next visit. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxury getaway with soul.

We absolutely loved our stay at Donatela! The service was exceptional and we felt so taken care of. Yes, the roads leading up to the resort need work but most of this is outside the control of the resort and the superb customer service and relaxing environment more than made up for it. This spacious, nature-centered resort gave us a sense of exclusivity. We’d love to extend our compliments to the restaurant, house keeping and all the maintenance staff - our room was so clean and luxurious. Even the spaces behind the TV are free of dust. The facilities were also great. We enjoyed the pool area and the gardens. This resort really pays attention to details! We stayed here as we were attending a wedding at a nearby resort and they extended a free shuttle to go there. They were so attentive and responsive and arranged transportation for us to go to different restaurants via tuktuks. There’s also a free shuttle to Alona beach. I had a blister and asked if they sell flip flops at the gift shop, they didn’t but they delivered lots of band aids to help me walk comfortably. I had questions about our stay and someone always responds to quickly via WhatsApp. Lastly, on our last day, our flight was at night and even though check out was at 12, they let us enjoy the facilities while waiting. They still treated us as well as they did when we were checked in. I have stayed in many hotels across the Philippines and abroad and this experience was unparalleled. It was a beautiful and memorable experience and we can’t wait to return!

We had a really nice stay at Donatela. The resort is peaceful and private, and our Villa was beautiful, spacious, quiet, and surrounded by nature. The private pool was a great bonus too. The staff were friendly and helpful, always quick to assist. But one thing that bugged us was the water pressure. Almost every day, we had issues and had to call maintenance. They fixed it each time, but it kept happening, which was a bit annoying. Aside from that, we enjoyed the food at Paprika and the overall relaxing vibe. With better water pressure, this place would be close to perfect.
