Dorint Resort & Spa Locarno Riazzino

We stopped here after returning from vacation. Nothing has changed, on the contrary. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Mrs. Ave at breakfast and Melisa at reception welcomed us very warmly, recognizing us immediately and welcoming us back. They wanted to thank Ave, seeing the huge number of people there for breakfast, and she was alone, taking a moment to greet and welcome us. The only thing I don't understand is why there is so little staff in the height of season. We were there for a week, and the breakfast staff (1) for a full hotel? Inconceivable. Buffet, dining room, bar, etc. (1) person only? I understand saving money. But not on staff. Perhaps a management pay cut and someone more for the morning catering service. In the evening, three people with 10 customers. In the morning, only one with over a hundred people. Inconceivable.

Easily one of the very best hospitality experiences I ever had: - Dorint welcomes with wonderful interior architecture, radiating a real felling of well-being - People at the reception & in the restaurant went above and beyond to be helpful and kind; they seem authentically happy with doing what their doing and with serving their guests :-) - Although I made a booking error in the restaurant, the personnel was very generous and just discarded it - The room, perfectly matched to the whole architecture & style of the building was just perfect, loved that style. Calm, very well climatized, radiating professionality, suitability for business purposes yet in a warm, inviting way - Breakfast was gorgeous; exterior on the 1st floor -> very nice! - Loction nicely between Locarno (15min by train) and Lugano (25min by train)

Such a perfect spot for the Locarno area! The service is one of a kind, the terrace is absolutely amazing with relaxing bossa nova music, perfect pool size, canopy beds, cool bar and such beachy vibes! Our kids browsed freely and safely from the pool to the kids park, to the ice cream troley, back to the kids lounge inside….! The rooms were perfect for us and our kids with option to close the end of the hallway to make it our own family suite. We enjoyed it so much that we are already planning another staycation here for a perfect summer weekend!!
