Dorint Resort Winterberg

I liked everything! Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds. There is a small kitchen, which is very convenient. The view from the windows is amazing. Fresh air. You can sit on the balcony and admire the local scenery. The breakfast is delicious, there is everything you want. Pleasant and polite personal in the restaurant, they also joke, making the atmosphere more relaxed and pleasant. The girls at reception were nice too. Thank you very much to the hotel for helping Ukrainians in such a difficult time!

This hotel has great basics. Great bed, pillows, super silent, it's spacious, the shower was nice, everything was clean, coffee maker in the apartment, pool was very warm and pleasant. I am taking away 1 star for the bad technology that just got me way too annoyed for a 1-night stay. The check-in online got stuck on the credit card validation after I had put all my personal info - I already provided all of that, including my credit card in the reservation process, so just wasted my time for nothing. Then I get an email to reserve the parking - I click and it says the minimum duration is 2 nights - I'm staying for 1 night, so it's unseless again. Get to the reception and I am directed to the online system, where I have to put all my info and my credit card again - why not add it to the room so I can just get out like in any normal hotel? Finally, despite the 2 smart TVs in the apt, none of them is capable to just connect to the internet. Wasted by time trying to get the chromecast to work on one of them (useless had a problem connecting to the wi-fi) and I ended up watching it on my laptop after wasting 40min being mad at all TVs. Seriously, I wouldn't even be mad if those didn't exist - it's best not to have something than have it poorly.

Blessed day of skiing. We did a little more swimming in the pool, we took a shower and got ready to have a nice familydinner. And then came the cold shower. Turned out our reservation was not noted correctly. In a very unfriendly manner we were literally put back out in the cold. Apparently it was someone in training who had noted our reservation, we should have known that then according to this unfriendly man. No solution was proposed (!), no excuses, the four of us were just put back outside without food or solution. Very disappointing (and hungry) end of the day :( .
