Dormero Hotel Berlin Kudamm

This is by far the BEST hotel in Berlin. It is a hidden gem with a beautiful garden and classic-to-modern interiors. It looks like a palace converted to a chic boutique hotel. The staff is so friendly although they may need to hire more people, nevertheless, they are so helpful and sweet. The rooms are spacious with big TVs and nice balconies. The street is so quiet and cozy which gives you a a taste of local life. I would stay here again and again. Thank you!!!!!

Hotel is located in a central but quiet location. We highly value the option to bring our pet for free. Staff was polite and helpful. Nevertheless, we were disappointed by both the room and breakfast. Paint peeling in the bathroom, doorhandle falling off, streaks on the floor and loose parts in the shower don't allow for a pleasant experience. The breakfast buffet was halfway empty and presented alongside a collection of random plates. In my opinion, that ruins the atmosphere of a hotel breakfast. Cleanliness not up to par either. We did get reimbursed for the breakfast but didn't want to move rooms since we only stayed for two nights.

There are several unpleasant things that happened here: - We found a bag of garbage in our room when we were back one night. Seemed like packages of some pills and medical products and dirty paper towels. The housekeeping must have forgotten after collecting the garbage from the previous room. - They put a half-full handsoap on the shower and a full one on the sink. We were already annoyed by not having a shower gel/shampoo and we couldn't find anyone in the reception to fix it. At night, when we were back the same day, we saw that the housekeeper had taken the full one on the sink and moved the half-full handsoap from the shower to the sink. The reader may think if the packages for handsoaps and shampoo are the same, they may have made a mistake. But, I mean this clearly shows, that the person was aware both were handsoaps and didn't bother to fix it (even took the full soap lol). The other day we found someone finally in the reception and got what we wanted. More negative: - No receptionist after 11 pm, be aware. Entry with code after 11 pm and you should ask for instructions if you are checking in after that. - No coffee or tea inside the room. - Very slow wifi. Around 4 Mbps Positive: the room is really nice and spacious. Free cold drinks.
