My wife and I recently sought a relaxing getaway in Hikkaduwa, and our experience at the Dormero Hotel was elevated beyond expectations when we were graciously upgraded to the penthouse, the presidential suite. From the moment we stepped into this expansive space, we were captivated by the breathtaking views and the sense of exclusive luxury. The hotel's location, just steps away from the beach, remained a highlight, allowing us to witness the mesmerizing sight of surfers riding the waves. However, our penthouse experience added a layer of unparalleled comfort and privacy to our stay. The tranquility of the hotel, combined with the spaciousness of our suite, created the perfect romantic escape. After exploring the vibrant local scene, we retreated to our private oasis, enjoying the panoramic views and the serene atmosphere. The staff continued to be warm and welcoming, and we were particularly touched by Franzi, the hotel manager, whose attentiveness and genuine care made us feel like valued guests. And Kiki, her adorable dog, added a delightful touch of home. Our penthouse suite was a haven of comfort and elegance. The expansive living space, luxurious amenities, and private balcony provided the perfect setting for us to reconnect and unwind. The views were simply stunning, offering a constant reminder of the beauty of Hikkaduwa. We also enjoyed the wonderful art pieces displayed throughout the hotel, it added a fantastic and unique ambience to the whole stay. The breakfast was a delightful surprise – perfect and plentiful. We enjoyed the variety and quality of the food, and having breakfast with the ocean view, made it even more special. We found the entire hotel, and particularly our penthouse suite, to be impeccably maintained. There were absolutely no issues with maintenance, and every detail was perfect.

Very modern and pristine hotel with excellent staff and food. The hotel is very well run by the manageress, who made us feel very welcome. The standout for me was the friendliness of the staff, from the security staff to the waiters, who all seemed genuine. I can therefore assume that the hotel chooses well with their staff and looks after them. The food was outstanding. We tried other restaurants but nothing was as good as the hotel restaurant curries, which were also beautifully presented. The chefs did an excellent job. The room was nice and the view incredible. Thanks for a lovely stay.

DORMERO Sri Lanka was an absolute delight. The rooms were spotless with amazing ocean views, the food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. The beachfront location is unbeatable, and the hotel dog Kiki was a lovely surprise. Highly recommend for a relaxing and memorable stay!
