Dormio Resort Les Portes du Grand Massif

I am very happy with my stay! We arrived in the middle of the night, but checkin was no problem (we had given a heads up beforehand). The staff is super friendly, and the hotel is very nice over all. The spa area is very well equipped with sauna, steam sauna, jacuzzi, and even a pool for swimming. After some time in the sauna you can walk out on the balcony for some epic views, or for rolling in the snow before getting back in the sauna. There is also a gym, but after long days of skiing I deliberately walked passed that part. The common areas by the reception have a pool table and some other games. I also loved the fact that right next to the hotel, you could walk up on mountain tops, both prepared tracks for country side skiing (although we walked) and snow shoe trails! I have been to quite a few hotel in the alps by now, and this was unique! Skiing was great, the hotel offers ski out and the bus back only takes a few minutes. The hotel has private lockers for the skiis and poles, and shared heated storage for the boots. If anyone from the hotel is reading this, I want to offer two pieces of advice to improve the experience even further! First of all, bathrobes would have been much appreciated in order to get to the spa and back! Secondly, we had an appointment but with half board included, then we expected essentials like toilet paper to be included. As I understood it, the apartments usually does their own grocery shopping etc, and then it makes sense to also get the TP, but when we have half board it was less clear that was the case. Anyway, a short walk over to spar and a few euros later we had more than needed! Thanks a lot for our lovely stay in Flaine!

Perfect location for Grand Massif skiing. The free shuttle stops next to the apartment road. The views of the mountains are stunning. The bar and restaurant in the complex is nice and the gym and spa are a welcome addition. Highly recommended and would definitely book again.

The rooms are big, with a decent size table for dinner and enough space to cook meals. The bathrooms are only accessible through the bedrooms, which can be annoying if you're with 6 people and 2 people sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, but still very nice appartment. Sheets were dirty when we arrived but we immediately got new ones. Very friendly staff, and really lovely location for skiing.
