If you’re looking for a UK mini-moon, Dormy House is the place to be. We booked their House Hideaway package in an intimate room, as we thought this would give us everything we need to relax after the stress of wedding planning! To our surprise and delight, on arrival we were upgraded to a suite, which was completely unexpected. On top of this, there was also complementary champagne, chocolate, and rose petals scattered about the room, along with a note wishing us well. This really made our day! And it felt SO special. The food and drink was also incredible throughout. The massage was probably the best we’ve had, and the spa experience was really relaxing. The snow room is a must-see! The hotel has been very well designed. I commented that it seemed as if each corner had been considered specifically for a wow factor, but also for guest comfort. Thank you again for such a gorgeous stay. We will be returning!!
Had a weekend here with my sister for her birthday celebration, and I’m not sure I’ve ever stayed anywhere that was closer to perfect. The room was pristine and very cool even in the hot weather. The spa was divine - enough areas that it wasn’t possible to get enough of them (especially the snow shower - we were in that a lot) and the treatments were lovely. Kellie-Ann the therapist was extremely welcoming and professional and very skilled, and both my massage and mud wrap were brilliant. In the main restaurant, the truffle and mushroom tagliatelle deserves particular mention. Dinner at MO on the Sunday was unbelievable - we had a small, friendly group of diners and Matt and his team took exceptional care of us. The food and wine pairings were magnificent and even more so was the atmosphere of fun and mutual interest in the process of cooking and tasting. The skill in the kitchen is extraordinary and it seems to be a generally happy and innovative place to be, which is really special to see. I will definitely be planning to go back again as soon as I possibly can!
We booked 5 nights in a comfy room. We got one in the Danish pavilion. It was situated beside the only road that passed, which was pretty busy. The room was rather small but very clean. We noticed other rooms were empty. We were a bit disappointed that, as we stayed 5 night’s, we didn’t get a more quiet room. There was no interest at all in our satisfaction. No manager ever asked us about our findings during our stay. That’s their job.. we are customers. With the price we have no problem but the price value is not ok, too expensive for what you get. No open/panoramic views on the Cotswolds.. from the hotel itself.
