Dorsett Melbourne

I had a pleasant stay at the Dorsett. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the hotel was very clean and well-presented. However, the hotel felt a bit small overall. The rooms were on the small side and felt a bit cheap for the 'upper-market' vibe. Similarly, the buffet breakfast and restaurant felt a bit underwhelming. While the pool was a nice feature, it was also quite small, and I had some trouble finding the steam room due to poor signage. The location is good, but it's a bit of a walk to the main public transport options if you want to explore the heart of Melbourne. Overall, it was a solid choice, but there's room for improvement.

I recently stayed for 2 nights with My Mum and Daughter. The room was very clean and well presented & the mattress was amazing to sleep on. The pool looked lovely too but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to have a swim. The location was good and close to where we needed to be. The staff were also very welcoming and happy to help. I would stay again no problem and highly recommend.

The hotel is beautifully decorated – stylish, clean, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The breakfast was also quite good, with a decent variety and fresh options to start the day. However, there were a couple of downsides. Early check-in wasn’t available, which was a bit inconvenient after a long journey. Additionally, one of the staff members serving at breakfast was quite rude and dismissive, which left a negative impression during an otherwise pleasant stay. Overall, a lovely place with great design and good food, but the service experience could be improved.
