A very well located hotel in Hong Kong. Right next to the famous racecourse Happy Valley. The hotel is a bit old which you can see on every corner, but the very nice and attentive staff makes up for it all. We were greeted very friendly and very committed everywhere and all questions were answered. Highly recommended is also the bus shuttle which is offered free of charge by the hotel. Also several bus stops are located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel which can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The selection at the breakfast buffet is very good, maybe not for every European, but we liked it very much and here you have to highlight the staff again. You are greeted and placed very friendly and motivated every morning. Care is also taken very intensively to ensure that the dishes are cleared quickly and that the buffet is sufficiently filled. And at the end you are again very friendly and nice goodbye. I also think the free water dispenser in the hallway is worth mentioning. There you can get fresh chilled water at any time. I think that's a very smart solution. Also the offer from the hotel if you do without the daily cleaning of the room which you should of course do for the love of the environment so you get a voucher for the snack machine in the lobby. I find this very sustainable. It was a very relaxing and pleasant stay. We felt very comfortable.
Alright so the rooms were smaller than I anticipated for a room with two queen beds but it was manageable. The bathroom, however, was incredibly small. The walk-in shower was nice with two different shower heads and the shower itself was spacey. The rest of the bathroom was quite small. The beds were very comfortable but you were only given a single pillow. The staff was always extremely helpful and did their best to help. The shuttle service was awesome but the drivers didn’t always stick to the times. I was waiting to get picked up at Central Pier #9 and the shuttle was 10 minutes early. Luckily I was already waiting but had I shown up 5 minutes later I would have missed the shuttle. The hotel provides water bottle refilling stations and have water stations in the lobby until 6 pm. Afterwards they put out candy and snacks for their guests. Overall, I would stay here again. Just keep in mind to be early for the shuttles, especially Bus 1 as Bus 2 was always more consistent.
A passable but dated 3.5-star hotel needing renovation. Rooms are clean but worn, service is just adequate. Handy amenities include in-room iron/board and laundry facilities. **Biggest issue:** poor soundproofing - hallway noise is clearly audible. Priced too high for what's offered; only reasonable with at least 30% discount. For similar rates, you'll find better 5-star options nearby. Acceptable for one-night stays if cheaper alternatives aren't available, but manage your expectations.
