I was impressed from the moment I walked in. For the price I paid, what a steal! They gave me a soda when I checked in, had some apples and water for free, and checking in/getting to my room was a breeze. Easiest check in I've EVER experienced. The room itself was extremely nice. The bathroom was wonderful and there was even a robe! The room had a safe, iron, and ironing board, mini fridge, coffee station, and a very nice desk by the window. I experienced absolutely no issues during my stay and slept great. I will absolutely be back to this hotel in the future and will be recommending it to friends.

We got a room on the top floor and the view was great. Bed was clean, king size, and comfortable. The room gets a little chilly at night so you may want a heavy blanket. We asked the front desk for plastic cutlery for leftovers and they also offered to bring a microwave up to our room for us!

Thank you for providing the hotel's name. I'll revise the review to include this detail: --- **Title: An Unforgettable Nightmare at The Dossier, Portland** Rating: ⭐ During our recent stay at The Dossier in Portland, my partner and I were subjected to what can only be described as an abysmal and humiliating ordeal, compelling me to urge future travelers to seek accommodation elsewhere. Our troubles began with a late-night, quiet conversation in our bathroom, which somehow prompted a complaint call from the front desk about noise. Despite our efforts to lower our voices even further, the situation deteriorated rapidly. Further compounding our frustration, an incident involving our service animal and a need to briefly exit the hotel resulted in us being inadvertently locked out of our room. Astonishingly, it took an excruciating 22 minutes to obtain a spare key because the manager on duty was unfamiliar with the key-making equipment. The climax of our stay was a groundless accusation by a hotel manager of intoxication and causing a scene, audaciously made in a public area in front of other guests. This unfounded assertion was not only completely false—as we were neither disorderly nor intoxicated—but it was also made in a manner that was publicly demeaning. Moreover, despite maintaining our room in pristine condition, we were inexplicably charged an additional $91 in incidentals, for which the hotel has failed to provide a satisfactory explanation. The room's dated appearance, with furnishings seemingly untouched since the 1990s, and the general rudeness and arrogance of the staff further marred our experience. The only redeeming features were the comfortable bed and decent bathtub, but these were far outweighed by the negative aspects of our stay. I strongly advise against staying at The Dossier in Portland and recommend considering more hospitable options such as the Residence Inn by Marriott or the Hilton. ---Scout
