DoubleTree by Hilton Asheville Downtown

Nice, clean hotel downtown. They are pet friendly but this did not impact the quality of the rooms. The staff are friendly; I had a unique parking situation and the hotel and valet personnel were accommodating within reason. The $25 parking fee does feel like a cash grab in the moment, but it's honestly worth the convenience of being able to walk directly to your car. It is in the middle of the city so there are occasional noises from the street and highway; booking a high floor is a good idea at this location.

I cannot thank the hotel staff enough. My family has been through an extremely rough few months when my mom suffered her fourth heart attack, which led to a major open heart surgery, and she needed to be revived, along with the diagnosis of diastolic heart failure. When we got the clearance to go on a family vacation, my first thought was to come to her favorite mountains. We have never stayed at a Hilton hotel before, and I was so excited, but what made this experience the most magical and memorable was the staff who went above and beyond to make my family, along with our doggy, feel so welcomed and safe. I do not doubt that this will be our go-to destination, and I hope to be back soon. The picture attached is my mom hiking for the first time post-surgery, showing off her new scar that shows her strength. we are so thankful for everything.

Lots of pleasant surprises. Hot cookies for free was such a nice unexpected treat. Rooms were good. Location was good. Price was good. Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at all things considered.
