We enjoyed our 1 night stay for Braves game! Biggest plus was the free shuttle service to the game. Rooms were clean and nice, bathroom was a little small but no big deal. Lots of stores and fast food near by. There was a massive pothole where we entered the parking lot. And breakfast wasn’t included. Over pretty good hotel for the price and location.
My friend stayed here for the Braves/ Yankees game two weeks ago. Beware of the huge sinkhole coming off of windy hill to the property. At night, you definitely can’t see it when arriving onto the property. Well my car hit that particular sinkhole and end up paying 1200.00 to get my car fixed. I informed the hotel and the woman( Afro American) was so nasty and short towards me, as if I was asking her to pay for the damages. I asked “ why don’t you all place an emergency cone or a barrier in front of the sink hole?”, she replied it’s not property, it’s the city of Marietta. Common sense if the only reason that someone is driving down that street is to come to your property. I’ll the take the lose on the payment but that horrible, nasty, tone was definitely not called for. I see why you all have horrible reviews for this hotel. It’s an embarrassment.
Checked in at midnight after a long drive for a two night stay looking to get a nice quiet sleep for my family and I, the fire escape door on our floor was faulting out and emitting a loud chirping noise about every minute or two. We informed the front desk and they said that they did not have a maintenance person to address the issue until the morning and that there were no two queen rooms available to switch to. They comped the room for the night, but what good is a free room if one can not get any sleep? The next morning the front desk said that they had a maintenance person coming to check it out, it is now past noon and the problem persists. They said we can move rooms after 4; in town for a Braves game that starts at 4, so instead of coming back from the game to relax we will have to get our stuff and move to another floor that hopefully does not have any issues. The picture is what the garbage cans out front looked like last night when we pulled in and still looked like when we went to get coffee in the morning. The hotel location is good for going to a Braves game, however the property itself is old and is showing its age along with the lack of maintenance and proper attention to details such as the garbage cans upfront or the fire escape door that is faulty.
