DoubleTree by Hilton Austin MN

Upon arrival, the front desk staff was on their phones and looked disinterested in assisting. The individual that greeted me was barely able to be understood with the loud Friday night happenings coming from the bar/restaurant attached. No cookies were offered either lol. Rooms are recently updated, as this appears to be a recent conversion from a Holiday Inn. Our room was one that has a door that leads into the pool area. Was very loud late into the evening. Overall, will I be back? Most likely not as I was only staying here to escape an oncoming storm while camping nearby in a state park… and have no reason to visit Austin again… other than a day trip to the Spam Museum. It’s the nicest hotel in town… regardless…

I am the president of a state chapter of a national car club. When we started negotiations for a contract to host a regional meet at this hotel everything seemed to be going well. Now the individual we were dealing with has gone AWOL. This has been going on for six weeks. We have stopped negotiating contracts connected to this show. We can't get anyone with the organization to give us accurate information regarding room reservations. We need information in regards to food pricing for a welcome event and still don't have this information. As of this time it appears the hotel isn't interested in working with us. The window is closing. I hate to cancel a show that a lot of members from surrounding states are looking forward to attending but I don't have any assurance that the hotel is going to execute their part of the deal at this point. Management....if you're reading this please respond and I will be getting in touch with you!!!!

254.00 for one night in this crap hole. Not even would I go back if they said I could have the room for 25 bucks. Nasty nasty nasty!! Did I mention it was nasty. Bathroom has mold growing in the shower. The floor was wet and full of nasty hair. Did not get a decent night sleep. Won’t be referring friends or even enemies.
