We had an absolutely lovely stay here at the Hilton in Bath. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. The staff were all very efficient and attentive and the location of the hotel is fantastic for everything. The views were beautiful from our room and the communal areas clean and well maintained. The highlight of our stay would have to be the breakfast and in particular the breakfast manager, Matteo, who was exceptional. Brilliantly well organised, courteous, well mannered and extremely helpful, he made our trip the the Hilton so special from the wonderful table we were allocated for our very early breakfast to the in-depth and precise information about local attractions and even where the best shops and hairdressers are hidden together with contacts!!!. The breakfast itself was wonderful. Freshly made and locally sourced produce, which was cooked to perfection, every morsel was a treat. Matteo with his team, one of which was Robert, who was also exceptional, really made our trip memorable. Thank you so much and we will be back for the Christmas Markets or perhaps even before…. Thank you again.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Bath! From the moment we arrived, the customer service was outstanding. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and helpful, and although we arrived early, our rooms were already prepared and we were allowed to check in early—such a lovely surprise! The warm, freshly made cookies on arrival were a delicious treat, and we were also welcomed with drinks and popcorn, which was especially appreciated on such a hot day. We had booked three rooms, and all of them were perfect—spotlessly clean, tidy, and very comfortable. We were there to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. They surprised us with complimentary drinks, balloons, and even mini desserts, which was such a thoughtful and generous gesture. The restaurant staff were just as impressive—so friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of options to suit everyone. Overall, it was an incredible stay. Thank you to all the amazing staff at DoubleTree by Hilton Bath for making our visit so memorable. Highly recommend!

Hilton is a prestigious global brand, and we booked this stay expecting the luxury, comfort, and seamless service that the name promises. Instead, we were met with a series of failures that left us questioning why we chose this property at all. The much-promoted app check-in was pointless—while the Bluetooth door access worked, the electricity in the room still required a physical card. Staff even suggested we use our personal credit cards to keep the lights on, admitting the rooms haven’t been upgraded to match the technology the Hilton app advertises. This is not innovation; it’s poor execution. On top of that, both lifts were out of service, despite the hotel’s own communications stating only one was unavailable. We were told to take the stairs to our fourth-floor room—an exhausting and unacceptable experience for a supposed luxury hotel. The “upgraded” room we were given was small, lacked basic welcome information, and had an overly complicated lighting system that wouldn’t even allow us to turn all the lights off at night. The shower pressure was weak, adding to the frustration. Worst of all was the breakfast service. The staff’s unwelcoming attitude made us feel as though we didn’t belong there, as if we were bluffing about being hotel guests. This was not just unprofessional—it was downright embarrassing. For a brand that prides itself on world-class service, Hilton Bath delivered an experience that was substandard at every turn. This stay was not worth the premium, and it has left a lasting mark on our perception of the Hilton name.
