The rooms were comfortable as you would expect in this kind of Hotel. Unfortunately, the service could be better. Ordering drinks and food and not getting any napkins nor cutlery, having to go and ask for it is not really top service. Breakfast is good, but it would be advisable to make the Hotel Restaurant wheelchair accessible. Having to pay the rooms at check-in is acceptable, but finding out that the Hotel has not finalized the room charges when you check out is not really proof of good management. At check out I was faced with another almost €50 city tax for two rooms. The location of the hotel is good as you don’t have to drive into the center. A subway line is in walking distance. As a summary the hotel is OK, but I would have expected a little bit more in regards to the service.
As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I was very disappointed with my stay at this property. It falls well below the standard I’ve come to expect from Hilton hotels. One of the most unusual and concerning practices was the pre-authorization taken at check-in for the full amount of the stay, followed by an actual charge for the same amount at check-out. In all my stays at dozens of Hilton properties, I have never encountered this. It raises questions about transparency and trust. Parking was another major issue — the hotel’s parking area is extremely small, and there was no space for our vehicle. We were advised to leave our car in a nearby public lot that looked unsafe and made us uncomfortable, especially given the high value of our car. The room itself lacked carpeting, which made the noise from the corridor disturbingly loud, impacting our ability to relax and sleep. Breakfast was average at best, with limited options and nothing particularly impressive. The service throughout the stay was also below expectations. The only positive was the lobby, which was nicely designed and welcoming. Overall, this is not a 4-star hotel — even by Italian standards. I would not choose to stay here again, and I would not recommend it to other Hilton loyalists.
1. This hotel is a shame to the Hilton brand. 2. Staff were unaware of basic Hilton Honors member policies. 3. Clear signs of extreme cost-cutting — the breakfast was very poor with cheap quality options, and even basic amenities were missing, including a towel rack in the bathroom. Additionally, a bottle of drinking water was strictly controlled. P.S. The management team ONLY replies to positive reviews, while negative feedback is ignored — something we directly experienced with the front desk duty manager.
