Just back from a two week vacation and this was our last hotel we stayed in. When we pulled in I saw construction and thought "oh no." Two of the other hotels we stayed in were also doing construction. Apart from the obvious construction stuff, they knew how to do it, inside our room we could not tell there was any construction going on. We were greeted with cookies and milk, had the largest room we had over the last two weeks, it was quiet and peaceful, comfortable beds. Our room overlooked the pool, so not as quiet in the morning, but kids in the pool sounded like they were having fun. Even though our room had no view of the outdoors, the skylights over the pool made it feel like we did. We had breakfast in the atrium, one of the best hotel breakfasts we had this trip. Plenty of variety, and enough for everyone. It was a hotel breakfast, so not amazing, but filled me up. Hotel was a bit dated, but clean, and I enjoyed the abundance of plants in the public areas, and great sunlight. Location is perfect, right off the highway, convenient for the hospital and college (we were looking at the college). Certainly if my future travels bring me back, this hotel will be high on my list to stay at again.
Loved the cleanliness of the rooms, the 2 free complimentary bottles of water, and the green mountain coffee k-cups. Front desk service was pleasant, and convenient location - just right around the corner to jump on the highway. Overall a quality hotel. I would stay again and recommend to others!
Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and I appreciated the warm cookie on arrival—it was a nice touch. My room was ready and conveniently located near the lobby. I liked having a large mini-fridge to keep things cold, which suited my needs perfectly. However, while the basics were in place, there were several cleanliness issues that were hard to overlook. The room was dimly lit when I entered, and the curtains were slightly open. I found a squashed bug on the window (photo attached) and a long black hair on one of the pillowcases. The nightstand was noticeably banged up and a bit grimy, and the lamp closest to the bed emitted a constant hum when turned on. On the plus side, the nightstand had plenty of outlets, which was a big convenience. The bathroom was clean but awkwardly designed—sitting on the toilet put you uncomfortably close to the shower door handle, which felt like a safety oversight. There were quality amenities like shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, but oddly no proper hand soap—just a small, cheap bar. Noise was also an issue. Around 11 p.m., I could clearly hear guests in the next room trying to get in while having a loud conversation, followed by multiple slamming doors throughout the night. I know this isn’t directly the hotel’s fault, but it’s something that could be addressed in future renovations (like adding soft-close doors). All in all, it wasn’t a bad stay—for my needs, it did the job. But cleanliness and noise levels left room for improvement. With the ongoing construction and future updates, I imagine this hotel has the potential to be much better.
