DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago Arlington Heights

We had a wonderful 2 night stay during the 4th of July weekend! There were no delays upon check in and everything went smoothly. they even give you 2 free cookies when you check in! The room and bathroom were very clean and very spacious. Only issue is that there is no fan in the bathroom which can make things uncomfortable when showering or going #2. The beds were so comfortable and we slept like babies! AC was easy to control, but was very loud throughout the night. These are very minor issues. We will definitely be back here!

Great experience with a private event, very accommodating. Rooms were nice and served the purpose. Unfortunately ours didn't have either a mini fridge or a microwave. It seemed like a bunch of other rooms had at least one and it made our stay a bit more inconvenient.

I understand that I wasn’t staying at a five-star hotel, so I didn’t expect that level of service. I was trying to escape the extreme heatwave, so I decided to stay at a nearby hotel. However, I wanted to share a few things I noticed: 1. The pool had a lot of hair floating in it. The water didn't look clear as it showed on the photos. I’m not sure if this was an isolated incident or if regular maintenance is lacking. 2. I found hair in the salad I ordered, and when my burger arrived undercooked (pink instead of well done), the waiter said he couldn’t do anything about it. 3. The inner lining of the shower curtain in the room has a musty, moldy smell. 4. The front desk staff didn’t seem happy to be there. Whenever I requested something, it was met with an attitude. 5. The elevators were extremely hot inside. 6. The gym was hot. The A/C unit was not working well. 6. The lobby was very warm as well, and eventually a portable fan was set up. If you don't mind this then you'll probably give 5star review. However I need a basic service at least. Overall, it felt like the facility is not being managed very well.
