DoubleTree by Hilton Collinsville St. Louis

We had a great experience. One of the best “regular” hotel pools. Staff was super friendly. Showers had tubs and amazing pressure. They had REAL towels at the pool, you don’t realize how awesome that is. Usually they have those fake towels, the last place gave us the bath mats! My wife says the coffee is also REAL. (I like that it’s free… looking at you Courtyard). Easy drive to Arch and/or anything.

Currently night one of a 3 night stay. Front desk staff very kind!!! Front lobby gave great first impressions. Then..elevator nearest room down. No biggie, we can just walk a little farther. Feet stuck to working sticky elevator floor. Carpets in hall extremely worn and stained. Room smells clean but definitely dated and desk and lamps dusty. TV remote did not work. Went to call Front desk and phone did not work. Used cell phone to report remote issue. Very quick response from maintenance and very kind. We are not high rollers or demanding by any means but for the hard earned money that we paid, the price is very steep for the quality of rooms. Again...staff was great though. Update: Morning after night 2. Spoon in the hallway has now been present for 24 hours. Elevator now has popcorn and candy wrappers on the floor. Noticeable Marijuana smell in the hallway. Things are not improving.

Not a good stay! Rooms are old and dated! Floors in room are wet. Ac didn’t work half the time. The room was dusty and smelly. Blankets, sheets, and towels all had stains on them. Lobby was very beautiful. Staff were friendly as well.
