DoubleTree by Hilton Colorado Springs

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Colorado Springs and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming—they even greeted me with their signature warm chocolate chip cookie, which was a great touch. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with a very comfortable bed that made for a restful night’s sleep. I really appreciated how well the heating system worked without making any noise. The hotel has a large indoor pool and a relaxing hot tub, both of which were clean and well-maintained, and the fitness center had everything I needed for a solid workout. I also liked that there’s a Starbucks on-site, which made grabbing coffee in the morning super convenient. The hotel restaurant served good food, and I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere at the bar in the evenings. The location is safe and central, within walking distance of the Broadmoor World Arena and several restaurants and shops. It’s also a short drive from top attractions like Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak. Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations with its excellent service, comfortable amenities, and convenient location. I’d gladly stay here again.

Had a five night stay at this hotel. The first night the AC was not working and they send an engineer to fix. Had to watch him clean out the dirty AC and it was not a pleasant experience. Also was given mixed messages from front desk about checking out early. I understand policy but the manager can honor the notation on my account written by her front desk employee or give me a one night courtesy which I was told by Amex they do regularly. This caused some inconvenience for my family as I wouldn’t have made changes to my plans if I was given the right info from the get go. The back entrance to the hotel does not require a keyed entry which was worrisome. The lobby and main entrance are nice but everything else is pretty old

there was a huge chunk of hair on the floor in my room. and just overall not very clean. the shower pressure sucked and the shower head sprays all over the place. the only reason I chose this hotel over any other options was to relax in the hot tub and of course it's closed... my digital room key has been almost impossible to use at any of the doors except my own room. I had to close the app refresh walk away and walk back and try like 15 times each time and even had to just go in when another guest was going in because it wouldn't work. outdated decor and popcorn ceilings. the tstat said 60°f but it was quite warm in the room so I don't think that's accurate. weird stains on the walls. I'm very upset I chose this hotel. update as I foolishly decided to pay the $20 for the breakfast buffet the next morning. Not worth it. i will say the chef's special was pretty good (it was a pancake filled with blueberry or something) but the rest of the buffet was not very good. the coffee was terrible and they don't have it out on the buffet with everything else so you have to wait for a server to bring you more and they only brought a bowl of half and half creamers so there wasn't much to make the coffee taste better either. my theory is they do this so then you'll have to tip the servers since it would be just as easy to have the coffee next to the juices on the buffet bar. the bed was comfy, so i slept pretty good. that is the only redeeming part of the entire hotel.
