Doubletree by Hilton Columbus Dublin

Nice enough, but had several issues. Had to wait over 15 minutes for someone to come to the desk to assist when checking in. Very nice person but a long wait. Our room was changed from the one we had booked and did check in and selected. We had a King but were changed to two queens. The elevator got stuck on the top floor twice and wouldn’t go down. Had to take the stairs. Last, booked a rate that apparently no one that works there understands and I am still trying to get the credit that was a part of it. Don’t book the Experience the Stay rate. Could be a great place, but had too many issues. We did enjoy the cookies.

Overall, not a great experience. The rooms are fine but a little small compared to competitors in the area. I travel for work a bit and most frequently to Columbus. The service here is very subpar and rude to top. The rooms do get cleaned daily. There is no food walking distance from the hotel. It is largely in a business loop. No complimentary laundry detergent, another common perk competitors have. It is really the little things that add up to either a wonderful or terrible experience. I would not stay here or a Hilton in Columbus again. Marriott is just objectively better in the area.

My toilet had a very weak suction and was repaired in a timely manner. The only thing is that there was a significant amount of toilet water left on the floor. I mentioned it to the front desk and he looked at me like he didn't speak English( he did).Never offered to get it cleaned up, never apologized. Housekeeping isn't thourough. Upon checkin, my coworker found a left over food in the room and on the floor. It was not cleaned up until we brought it to attention.
