I had the pleasure of interacting with Victor at the front desk during my recent stay at the DoubleTree, and he truly made the experience memorable. From the moment I arrived, Victor was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in, offered great local recommendations, and made sure I felt welcomed and valued as a guest. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail are a perfect example of excellent customer service. Thank you, Victor, for making my stay so enjoyable. Also to Martina in housekeeping thanks for making the room super tidy!

This property is in some serious need of repairs. The guest elevators don’t work. Service elevator is dirty and noisy. They advertise room service which entails you to go downstairs and order it to bring back to your room. The room was clean but overwhelming mildew smell. Restaurant had one person working. No food runner. And I would bet she did the cooking as well as long as it took. The lady was very nice. And tried to be attentive, but you can only do so much. Staff was helpful. But what a mess of a place to work. There are several nice upgraded hotels in the same area. If you expect to stay competitive, there needs to be a lot of work done. Very disappointing. Location to airport is great.

Updated Evening Of 7/7/2025: DoubleTree by Hilton is synonymous with a warm, welcoming experience—not just the signature chocolate chip cookie, but a stay that feels like home. Unfortunately, the experience at this location is missing the "cookie dough" altogether. While the staff is doing everything they can with an older property and outdated technology, the experience falls short of the brand’s usual high standards. This hotel’s prime location near the airport makes it a high-traffic gem, and investing in modern upgrades through capital improvements would undoubtedly yield a quick return on investment. The team’s efforts to address my concerns were commendable, but without the right tools, they’re stretched thin. With some much-needed updates, this DoubleTree could deliver the warm, exceptional stay the brand is known for and truly shine in its ideal location. Updated (7/7/2025): No one ever contacted me to make it right. For those reasons, service related to management only is receiving an update to 1-star. See photos. Needs Significant Renovation, but the Staff Shines: My recent stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dallas - DFW Airport North, starting this Monday, has been a mixed experience, heavily leaning on the need for substantial property improvements, despite the excellent efforts of the hotel staff. Upon arrival, the staff was genuinely very nice and accommodating, and the lobby appeared clean. However, it's immediately evident that the hotel building itself is significantly aged and in much need of repair and modernization. The staff seems to be doing their absolute best to provide a positive guest experience, despite battling the limitations of an old facility. Visually, the carpets throughout the entire hotel appear extremely old, and the hallways on each floor feature a terribly executed and outdated paint scheme. The most significant concern, however, was the pervasive musty or smoky smell, or both, in the guest rooms. Even after switching rooms to another floor, while the smoky smell was gone, the musty odor remained strong. This distinct stale, earthy, and damp smell is a clear indicator of mold or mildew, likely caused by excessive moisture and poor ventilation. This was particularly noticeable in conjunction with the cold room temperatures and the top layer of the bed having a noticeable humidity on it, further pointing to poor climate control. It was alarming to hear seven other guests at the bar discussing the exact same musty smell issue. Further adding to the concerns, older reviews also mention problems with cooling/ventilation and non-functional elevators. During my stay, I observed a singular fan in the lobby trying to cool the entire hall due to a non-working AC system on the first floor. I also had to use a service elevator, which was in a truly horrible condition. As a Hilton Honors member, I hold Hilton properties to a very high standard of quality and expectation. The current state of this DoubleTree falls significantly short. I strongly recommend that senior officials from Hilton urgently conducts an audit of this facility to address the fundamental issues with the building's infrastructure, particularly concerning the ventilation, moisture control, and overall dated condition. I am here for a 4-night work trip involving intensive work, and I'm genuinely worried about potential health impacts and not getting adequate sleep due to these conditions. While the staff here is commendably working hard under challenging circumstances, the underlying issues of the property are a major deterrent. I am open to discussing options to make this right, including relocation to a well-regarded/highly reviewed Hilton property nearby, compensation in free nights at other Hilton locations across the US, or a plethora amount of Hilton Honors Points.
