DoubleTree by Hilton Damai Laut Resort

Overall, it's a great beach resort for short getaway! Facilities are great (kids friendly). Room is clean and quiet, bed is super comfy. Staffs are execellent and professional. Enjoyed walking along the beach in the morning. Superb sunset view in the evening. Breakfast variety is very Malaysian but it is good enough. Lastly, I believe many people may have complained about the flies in the cafe. To be fair to the hotel, it is not their fault. The hotel is well maintained and clean. The flies are from outside the hotel, from nearby chicken farm (?). And from my experience, it is seasonal. Anyhow, the hotel have been trying to improve the situation and made us all feel as comfortable as possible. For me, personally I dont see this is a setback or something to be annoyed.

We were a group of 15 pax, and had the pleasure of staying at Damai Laut Resort for four days, and one of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the team at the Executive Lounge. There were five staff members (Veronica, Sofea, Zhi Yi, Parvez & Amiera) who consistently went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. From the moment we stepped into the lounge, we were greeted with warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and a level of attentiveness that truly impressed us. Their positive attitude and tireless work ethic stood out each day. During the evening cocktail hour, they were always proactive, courteous, and professional — ensuring all guests were well taken care of. What truly made a difference was the genuine care they showed in every interaction. They created a welcoming environment that felt both personal and luxurious. Please extend our sincere thanks to the Executive Lounge team. They are a true credit to the hotel, and we hope they receive the recognition they truly deserve. Very good placed to take 5. Friendly staff. Nice biscuit. Need to plan ahead if u want to spend time at water park. Check with the hotel 1st either hotel having event, team building or whatsoever before proceed with booking. Mine wrong timing - tooooo many people at pool and eatery places. Breakfast is good and can be better Need to be better at managing in and out people during breakfast.
