DoubleTree by Hilton Deadwood at Cadillac Jack's

Exceeded my expectations! I don’t normally write reviews but wanted others to know the hotel was clean, non-smoking (there is a smokers lounge), the food was amazing (it really was!), and the staff was great. It’s a short drive or trolley service away from Main Street Deadwood so it’s quiet. We had a suite with an amazing view (the hotel photos don’t do the view justice) and ate at FLYT for breakfast and dinner. The food was surprisingly fresh and very well prepared with staff being very attentive and pleasant. We would definitely come back.

The room is amazing and looks out at the local rodeo arena. Its a 3 min drive, 15 min walk from downtown Deadwood. Clean rooms, many amenities, and an infinity pool! Shower is nice as well. Seems like they keep it pretty low staff though, so the line for check in was 15 to 20 min on a Monday.

The hotel is a casino and, as a traveling family of 4, we weren’t the target demographic. Nonetheless, it fit our needs. Our first night we had an issue with the AC unit dripping above us causing a repetitive dripping noise. Was awful. So they upgraded us to the 2 room suite. My wife is a diamond, so don’t know if they would have done this otherwise. Still, the 2 room suite was an amazing room. Having the food on site was awesome.
